Description:
The Norton Simon Museum is known as one of the most remarkable private art collections ever assembled. On view are seven centuries of European art from the Renaissance to the 20th century including famous works by Raphael, Botticelli, Rubens, Rembrandt and Goya. Particularly celebrated are the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings by Monet, Degas, van Gogh and Cézanne, as well as 20th century works by Picasso, Matisse, Kandinsky and Moore. The Museum also houses an outstanding collection of Asian art from India and Southeast Asia spanning a period of 2000 years.
